<p>Position: Summer Golf Course Intern</p><p>Overview: The Olde Farm Golf Club is an exclusive private golf club located in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. This Bobby Weed design is comprised of L-93 bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways, and bluegrass rough. The Olde Farm is consistently rated as one of the top clubs in Virginia and was awarded Top New Private in 2000 by Golf Digest. In June 2010 The Olde Farm was host to “The Big 3” for Mountain Mission Schools, a golf charity event featuring the “Big 3” of golf (Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player), that raised a record amount for golf charity events. The club website is: http://theoldefarm.com</p><p>Responsibilities: Interns will be exposed to all facets of golf course management including, but not limited to: chemical / fertilizer application, irrigation repair & maintenance, golf course set-up, hand watering practices, and equipment operation.</p><p>Educational Requirements: Student pursuing a 2-4 year degree in turf management or related field</p><p>Benefits: Uniforms, housing, & golfing privileges provided</p><p>Wage: $10/hr.
