“ Walk and Eat in Autumn”: A Pleasure with the Wilder Kaiser – Brixental Lift Operators

With its clear skies and spectacular views, autumn is the ideal time for nature lovers and “food fans” – best of all with the Wilder Kaiser – Brixental lift operators. 700 km of signed hiking trails, 400 km of mountain bike routes and unobstructed views of 70 three-thousand-metre-high peaks are incentive enough. When the hunting season and harvest festival coincide, high season is in full swing at the more than 50 mountain huts, inns and snack bars in the biggest natural playground in the Alps. A filling mountain breakfast, hearty home-style cooking and inimitable specialities, ranging from Germkiachln (type of doughnut), Kasspatzln (cheesy gnocchi) to typical Tyrolean Obstler (fruit schnapps), give you an appetite each day for new outdoor experiences. So by stopping in at one of the rustic alpine huts, such as the Stöcklalm, Jochstubn or Rübezahlalm in Ellmau, you can expect to be treated to a real “peak experience”. After breakfast, hiking fans can set out feeling well nourished on tours that promise plenty of stunning views. If you are worried about your joints, the descent can be a comfortable ride sitting down again instead. The Wilder Kaiser – Brixental Region lift operators run a continuous service from May until October. The SkiWelt Hiking Experience Pass is valid on all twelve lifts and includes free use of the six mountain adventure parks as well as the “Kaiserjet” bus between the villages of Going, Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll. A special natural experience is the SkiWelt Panoramic Trail, which takes you past alpine lakes, huts and pastures and reveals views of spectacular mountain peaks. From the Hohe Salve (1,829 m), which presents Tyrol’s prettiest views, the route takes you to the Astberg in Going. The entire hike, for which you should allow a total of eight hours walking time, can be started and finished again in any of the villages in the Wilder Kaiser – Brixental region.

PRESS IMAGE ARCHIVE: www.skiwelt.at/images

SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental Marketing GmbH. ∙ Dorf 84 ∙ AT-6306 Söll ∙ Tel. +43.(0)5333.400 ∙ Fax +43.(0)5333.400 9100 ∙ [email protected]
