<p>Title: Accounting Internship Department: Accounting Status: Part-time, unpaid, housing available Supervisor: Controller</p><p>Position Description: The accounting intern will be responsible for assisting the Controller with record keeping, filing, data entry, and grants and contracts management.</p><p>Major Tasks and Responsibilities: Provide assistance with  Cash receipts  Accounts payable  Journal entries  Bank reconciliations  Reports</p><p>Education and Experience Requirements:  The successful intern should be a college or university student currently enrolled in a business administration or MBA program.</p><p>Abilities, Skill, and Knowledge:  Knowledge of accounting principles and ethics  Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software  Good written and verbal communication skills</p><p>Working Conditions:  Must work 10-15 hours per week, on weekdays, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Must be able to lift moderately heavy boxes of files and records, approximately 20 lbs.</p><p>Benefits:  Free housing on the MNA campus provided for the duration of the internship  Student membership to the Museum of Northern Arizona  Excellent experience working in a professional, non-profit environment  College credit, if applicable</p><p>This internship is contingent on satisfactory passing of a background check.</p><p>How to apply: Please submit the following documents to Jaina Moan at [email protected]  Cover letter describing interests and background  Resume with academic and employer references  Copy of unofficial university transcripts  Two letters of recommendation, one from an academic instructor and one from an employer or professional reference.</p><p>1 Email is the preferred method of application submission.
