She becomes the "Girl in the Middle“, "Just a Fool“, the "Sixstrings“ of her guitar and displays a passionate love for music – sometimes energetic, sometimes deeply melancholic.</p><p>After her last album “Miles” (published 2009), with “Oak Tree Sessions” Solly delivers an piece of work, that more than keeps up with her first one in depth and personality. This time, authenticity and simpleness have priority, there was hardly any editing, overdubbing and cutting. Only acoustic instruments, such as Accordeon, acoustic Guitars, Piano and upright bass were used. The listener won’t find perfectionism, but a feeling as if sitting in a living-room concert.</p><p>The songthemes move again within the sociocritical area. Disappointing love (Not a Cynical Son, Please Stay), the actual meaning of money (Money), the soldier in action (Soldier’s Lullaby), the human being as a machine, that has to function (I’ve got the Right to be Down), and the banjo accompanied “Getting Older”, display Solly’s talent to look at herself and her follow citizens with a wink in her eye and a ability to point out the flaws of an established system.</p><p>Daughter of a Syrian Father and a German mother, Solly was educated from a very early age in classical music, through playing the piano, violin, viola and by performing with a chamber orchestra, symphonic orchestra and a choir. At the age of 21, she taught herself the guitar and has since also mastered the challenging slide guitar.</p><p>Later Solly spent five years abroad, touring with the three-time Grammy-winner Keb’ Mo’ through the USA, Canada and Australia. In addition during this time she performed in Los Angeles, and that was the beginning of her first works in songwriting.</p><p>Back in Munich, the stage-tested and versatile Solly quickly made a name for herself. She composed the music for the film-short "Sleeping Faces“, by Mike Viebrock, won the "Blues Contest Trossingen“, opened for Fools Garden (Lemon Tree), John Lee Hooker jr., Keb Mo and Marla Glenn, Voice of Germany Winner Nick Howard and performed various times for the songwriter organization "Songs Wanted“ at the famous Schlachthof Munich.
