<p>Draft Advert 1: For Ministry website</p><p>REPUBLIC OF KENYA</p><p>MINISTRY OF EDUCATION</p><p>Hungary Scholarships Thro Government -2016-2017</p><p>The Government of Hungary has offered fifty (50) scholarships both in undergraduate and postgraduate studies (Masters and PhD). The areas of study are Agriculture, Engineering, Economics, Natural Sciences, Sport Sciences and Public Administration for Bachelors and Masters but the courses for PhD are open. </p><p>Eligibility</p><p>A. Undergraduate:</p><p> a) Minimum KCSE Mean Grade of B (plain).</p><p> b) Not more than 23 years of age.</p><p> c) Grade “B” in core subjects in their fields of study.</p><p> d) Completed Secondary Education in the last three (3) years.</p><p> e) Have original KCSE certificates.</p><p>B. Postgraduate</p><p>(i) Are serving the country in the public sector. (ii) Completed two (2) years of continuous public service since their last degree studies.</p><p>(iii) Graduated with a bachelor’s degree of at least upper second class honors level.</p><p>(iv) For PhD, applicants must have a relevant Master’s Degree.</p><p>(v) Are below thirty five (35) years for masters and forty five (45) years for PhD.</p><p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE</p><p>1. All applicants must apply online to www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu and to the Ministry of Education.</p><p>2. Preliminary application forms are obtainable from the Ministry of Education offices at Telposta Towers, 27th floor room 2702.The application forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website: http://www.education.go.ke/home/index.php/downloads/category/1 2-scholarship-forms .</p><p>Candidates for postgraduate courses should submit their application forms through their Heads of Departments.</p><p>Completed application forms with certified photocopies of ID, academic/professional certificates, transcripts, Birth Certificate, other testimonials and a proposal in the area of study (for PhD study only ) should be sent to:</p><p>Director Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, P. Only students who apply to both Hungary (online) and through this Ministry will be considered. 2. Preference for awards of these awards at postgraduate level will be given to Teaching staff in our Public Universities and University Constituent Colleges. Teaching staff in these institutions are highly encouraged to apply.
