<p> Literary Device Song Project</p><p>Your task is to find examples of literary devices in the lyrics of the music you may listen to. You need to find a total of at least ten song lyrics in a minimum of three different songs. In total, you need to find each of the following:</p><p> 2 examples of similes  2 examples of metaphors  1 example of hyperbole  5 examples of imagery (at least one for each of the senses)</p><p>You may present the information in any of the following ways:  A typed word document  A powerpoint or prezi  A video  A poster board  Another medium (approved by Ms. Mancini)</p><p>You must include the following information for each song lyric found:</p><p> Song title and artist  Song lyric  Literary device used  Explanation of the device  Purpose of using this device</p><p>For example:</p><p>Song title: “Streetlights” by Ludo</p><p>Song lyric: “The pavement is aching, cicadas are crying, the wine-colored air breathing thoughts through your hair breezing to me, leading me there”</p><p>Literary device used: Imagery</p><p>Explanation of the device: This line of the song describes the air as being wine-colored, which gives the listener an image of the air. It says that air is breathing through her hair, which gives the listener a sense of touch. It also says that cicadas are crying, which gives the listener can hear.</p><p>Purpose of using this device: This line is very descriptive and lets the listener know that all of these things are leading the man to the girl.</p><p>This assignment is due on Friday, October 24th. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCCEPTED. Depending on the quality of this project, it will go towards two missing classwork, homework, or project assignment for the 1st trimester.</p>
