<p> KOKO MARINA CENTER SOLOIST SINGING CONTEST RULES</p><p>• There is NO FEE to enter.</p><p>• Soloist must submit a YouTube video link to [email protected] of their performance no longer then three (3) minutes of Soloist performance (practice session or live stage performance). Please submit contact name, e-mail address and phone number for Soloist. End date for submissions will be Monday September 4, 2017 at 6:00 pm Hawaii Standard time. Soloist will be selected and notified no later than Friday, September 8, 2017 with the live contest taking place on Saturday, September 23, 2017 between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Koko Marina Center and a mandatory contest meeting on Monday September 18th at 7:00 pm to go over competition day. </p><p>• All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Soloist must be unsigned and the performances must be performed live to a prerecorded track on CD. Soloist cannot be a professional singer. For the sake of this rule form the definition of a “professional singer” is if the Soloist gets paid a talent fee to play or sing weekly or monthly at any location or establishment. </p><p>• Soloist may not use a live instrument in this contest. Only a CD track with background (backup vocals).</p><p>• Soloist must be between the ages of 13 – 18 between September 4 and September 23, 2017 and if selected to participate may be asked to verify with a photocopy of picture ID for proof of age.</p><p>• Soloist must reside on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii.</p><p>• Soloist must be dressed appropriately to perform for families. Nice dress or shirt and shoes or are required.</p><p>• Soloist must perform a song without obscene or offensive lyrics, swearing or profanity.</p><p>• DIS-N-DAT Media will not accept a Soloist with obscene or offensive lyrics, or indecent or obscene body gestures.</p><p>• Each selected Soloist will be notified of their acceptance and must complete the Koko Marina Singing Soloist Official Registration Packet to finalize participation in the Koko Marina Singing Soloist Contest. Mandatory packet materials include the completed Official Waiver Agreements, Official Bio Questionnaires and Official final song selection with lyrics. These materials are mandatory and may be used for media advertising purposes and marketing purposes. Materials will not be returned and must be received or postmarked by Monday, September 18, 2017.</p><p>• Qualifying Soloist will perform live one (1) song each (cover or original) on Saturday, September 23, 2017 no longer than three (3) minutes and must provide written copy of lyrics of Soloist song selection. The song as registered by qualifying Soloist will be the only one allowed in the final competition on September 23, 2017.</p>
