Minutes were moved by Laurel Eiland and seconded by Selena Bowers. All approved as written.</p><p>Principal’s notes: Mrs. McKinney gave her Principal’s report. Key points made:  I ready and I Station report, Science – Reviewed the District Report Tavares Elementary Progress vs. District scores.  I station is skill based so there are some areas for inconsistency when looking at standards.  I ready – we did not test Kindergarten as a school based decision. The scores are in line with the District.  Science shared the growth within the subgroups.  School strategies will be to drill down the data to the student level as well as reviewing testing strategies.  Geometry in 3rd grade which is taught later in the year we have a plan to address prior to the test.  Met with teachers to have students remain calm and to be excited about showing their hardwork. Mrs. McKinney advised we did get our true grade which showed an Unfinished Business improvement from a D to a C. </p><p>Recommendation to review SAC By-laws, and vision statement. Mrs. New Business McKinney presented the last information from 2011. Discussion was held regarding the by-laws and any changes needed. Mrs. McKinney will email the SAC By-Laws for group review and will be placed on next month’s agenda. </p><p>Mrs. McKinney shared the news that Tabitha Abbott was tapped as one of the Rookie Teacher of the Year finalist. </p><p>Jump Rope for Heart Upcoming Events: Spring Pictures Student of the Month FSA Writing Read Across America Field Trips Field Day</p><p>Meeting was adjourned at 5:40 Meeting Adjourned Next Meeting is April 4, 2016 </p>
