<p>Outgoing Passenger Card Review The Government is focussed on low contact automated border clearance technologies to deal with the estimated annual 50 million travellers expected by 2020. </p><p>The Department of Immigration and Border Protection is currently reviewing future options for removal of the physical Outgoing Passenger Card (OPC). The intention of the review is to understand how the physical OPC, and data collected on it, is currently used by all stakeholders. This work is informing the development of options for removal of the physical OPC, while minimising the impact on stakeholders.</p><p>Further updates on this work will be provided on a regular basis. </p><p>Please note that this review is only considering the OPC. A similar review of the Incoming Passenger Card will be conducted in the future. </p>
