You may even have one in your pocket or purse right now – a bi-weekly paycheck for the hard work you put in, the rebate check from the electronics you bought or maybe it’s the annual birthday check from Aunt Marge. </p><p>And when you receive a check, you want access to that money – fast. But sometimes “stuff” gets in the way of making deposits – driving across town, office hours that don’t match yours, or you just forget. Imagine what it would be like if you could deposit those checks from home or work or on the road. What if you could use your computer and scanner to deposit checks electronically whenever you felt like it?</p><p>You can when you enroll in remote deposit from your credit union! Once you’re approved, simply log on to your credit union’s secure home banking program and click the tab. Sign the back of your check, enter the deposit amount on the computer screen and scan both sides of the check on your flatbed or all-in-one style scanner. </p><p>You’ll see the images of the front and back of your check and have a chance to make corrections before you click to confirm the deposit. And when you’re done, you’ll be asked if you want to print a receipt. Later, you can go to your transaction history for deposit details such as dates and amounts and to view your check images.
