<p>She grew up and lived in war for 28 years. Therefore, she learns to be courageous, resilient, hopeful, positive stand tall against injustice in any form and advocate for peace. She worked in Afghanistan, Pakistan, United States and she study in South Africa, has diploma on education .and development. She finished medical school in Afghanistan and</p><p>Sumaya Karimi teaches the Community Transformation course in past five years in Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University; and she has been awarded the Outstanding Adjunct a ward by Emory. She is the executive Director of Global Ubuntu, which provides training to s chools; government agencies, business and none profit organizations. She served as safety director and lead the capacity building program in Clarkston Development Foundation in pa st four years. Sumaya has served as board and leadership program coordinator in Refugee Women Network for many years. She also served as Coordinator for Anti Human-trafficking Program at Tapestri. She spent 2 years in Afghanistan serving as the Program Development Manager for the Afghan Women Educational Center where she was responsible for overseei ng the, programs, human resources, finance and fundraising. She found RAWZANA (Commit tee for Defense of Afghan Women Right). She has 16 years professional experience in progr am management, community organizing, designing popular education curriculum, facilitati on, case management and community development in diverse environments across culture s and geographies.</p>
