
<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Mark Wiener MAY 13, 2011 503-358-5511</p><p>SOLOPOWER REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO OREGON, ANNOUNCES INTENT TO LOCATE SOLAR PANEL MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN PORTLAND</p><p>SoloPower, Inc., a California-based manufacturer of flexible, thin film solar cells and modules, announced that it has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the City of Portland to locate a high volume manufacturing facility in Portland.</p><p>“We are committed to Oregon because of the great people and workforce; the active support and engagement at the state level and from the communities we have talked to; and of course, Oregon’s beauty, location and quality of life,” said SoloPower CEO Tim Harris. “This is where we want to be.”</p><p>SoloPower had originally announced its intention to locate its Oregon manufacturing facility in Wilsonville, and had reached an agreement with that city which included the establishment of a single-site Urban Renewal District as a key part of the agreement; however, a citizen group has circulated a petition for a referendum on that decision.
