The Fibre Processing and Manufacturing (FP&M SETA) Was Established in Terms of the Skills

INVITATION TO REGISTER FOR ASSESSMENT, MODERATION, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FACILITATION AND COACHING & MENTORING TRAINING

INTRODUCTION

The Fibre Processing and Manufacturing (FP&M SETA) was established in terms of the Skills Development Act, of 1998.

The FP&M SETA is accredited as a quality assuring body by the South African Qualification Authority, in terms of regulation R1127 FP&M SETA shall perform the following functions:

a. accredit constituent providers for specific standards or qualifications registered on the National Qualifications Framework; b. promote quality amongst constituent providers; c. monitor provision by constituent providers; d. evaluate assessment and facilitation of moderation among constituent providers; e. register constituent assessors for specified registered standards or qualifications in terms of the criteria established for this purpose; f. take responsibility for the certification of constituent learners;

In order for FP&M SETA to perform the aforementioned functions, the training providers must have sufficient number of assessors, moderators and facilitators who are properly trained to deliver quality in education and training. FP&M SETA has realized that there are few training providers who are reporting learners achievements as per the requirement by SAQA/QCTO therefore it has taken the initiative to train assessors and moderators who are subject matter experts in their fields.

FP&M SETA wishes to roll out the assessor and moderator training whereby experienced individuals linked to FP&M SETA accredited training providers will be trained as assessors, moderators and facilitators. This will enhance the quality of training and ensure that learners receive credits for training offered by FP&M SETA accredited training providers.

OBJECTIVES

The project goal is to train assessors, moderators and facilitators and enhance them with quality skills to produce meaningful moderation and assessments reports.

1 | P a g e FP&M SETA ASSESSMENT and MODERATION PRACTITIONER’S TRAINING COURSES

You are cordially invited to make a formal application to register for the assessment, moderation and skills development facilitation and coaching & mentoring training courses nationally, as listed in the table below.

DATES OF WORKSHOPS: In August, September and October 2013.

Accredited Practitioner’s Training Courses are as follows: Assessor, Moderator, Coaching & Mentoring and Skills Development Facilitator skills programme.

UNIT STANDARD TITLE:

 Conduct Outcomes-based Assessment: NQF Level 5,  Conduct Moderation of Outcomes-based Assessments : NQF Level 6,  Develop an organizational training and developmental plan: NQF Level 5,  Coaching & Mentoring.

ASSESSOR’S TRAINING ARE AS FOLLOWS:

REGION PROVINCE CITY VENUE DATES

Gauteng Johannesburg 11 Granville Avenue 26 - 30 August 2013 North, Lea Glen, Roodepoort, Gauteng Tel (011) 672 2185 Mpumalanga Nelspruit 5 Indus Road, White 26 - 30 August 2013 River, Suite 2, Tel (013) 750 3066

Kwa-Zulu Natal Durban 63 Willowfield 26 - 30 August 2013 Crescent, Springfield Kwa-Zulu Natal Park, Richdale, Tel (031) 579 3883

Western Cape Cape Town 08 Lowe Stoft Street, 26 - 30 August 2013 Paarden Eiland, Cape Western Cape Town, Tel (021) 510 0088

2 | P a g e MODERATOR’S TRAINING ARE AS FOLLOWS:

REGION PROVINCE CITY VENUE DATES

Gauteng Johannesburg 11 Granville Avenue 09 - 13 September 2013 North, Lea Glen, Roodepoort, Gauteng Tel (011) 672 2185 Mpumalanga Nelspruit 5 Indus Road, White 09 - 13 September 2013 River, Suite 2, Tel (013) 750 3066

Kwa-Zulu Natal Durban 63 Willowfield 09 - 13 September 2013 Crescent, Springfield Kwa-Zulu Natal Park, Richdale, Tel (031) 579 3883

Western Cape Cape Town 08 Lowe Stoft Street, 09 - 13 September 2013 Paarden Eiland, Cape Western Cape Town, Tel (021) 510 0088

3 | P a g e SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR’S TRAININGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

REGION PROVINCE CITY VENUE DATES

Gauteng Johannesburg 11 Granville 30/09/2013 to 04/10/2013 Avenue North, Lea Glen, Roodepoort, Tel (011) 672 2185 Gauteng Mpumalanga Nelspruit 5 Indus Road, 30/09/2013 to 04/10/2013 White River, Suite 2, Tel (013) 750 3066

Kwa-Zulu Natal Durban 63 Willowfield 30/09/2013 to 04/10/2013 Crescent, Kwa-Zulu Natal Springfield Park, Richdale, Tel (031) 579 3883

Western Cape Cape Town 08 Lowe Stoft 30/09/2013 to 04/10/2013 Street, Paarden Western Cape Eiland, Cape Town, Tel (021) 510 0088

4 | P a g e COACHING & MENTORING TRAINING WORKSHOPS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

REGION PROVINCE CITY VENUES DATES

Gauteng Johannesburg 11 Granville Avenue 16 - 20 September 2013 North, Lea Glen, Roodepoort, Gauteng Tel (011) 672 2185 Mpumalanga Nelspruit 5 Indus Road, White 16 - 20 September 2013 River, Suite 2, Tel (013) 750 3066

Kwa-Zulu Natal Durban 63 Willowfield 16 - 20 September 2013 Crescent, Springfield Kwa-Zulu Natal Park, Richdale, Tel (031) 579 3883

Western Cape Cape Town 08 Lowe Stoft Street, 16 - 20 September 2013 Paarden Eiland, Cape Western Cape Town, Tel (021) 510 0088

Please note: Attendance of the training programmes is free of charge.
