<p>NCSU IO Psychology Program</p><p>Graduation Requirements for IO Students Entering in Fall 2008-2011</p><p>Students entering the IO program between Fall 2008 and Fall 2011 are required to take each of the courses below:</p><p>Required Statistics Courses Psy 880 - Experimental Statistics For Psychology (Neupert) Psy 880 - Regression (Allaire)</p><p>Required IO Courses Psy 710 - Advanced Covariance Modeling - Drewes Psy 714 – Social Psychology: Small Groups Research – Smith Psy 760 - Psychometrics – Meade Psy 761 - Item Response Theory – Meade Psy 762 - Quasi-Experimental Evaluation Design - Wilson Psy 763 - Structural Equation Modeling (i.e., Systems Theory and Applications in Human Resource Development) - Drewes Psy 764 - Industrial Psychology - Wilson Psy 766 - Selection Research Methods – Meade Psy 767 - Training Research – Craig Psy 768 - Organizational Psychology - Pond Psy 769 - Work Motivation - Pond</p><p>Students entering the IO program between Fall 2008 and Fall 2011 are also required to take a total of two IO Elective courses listed below. </p><p>Elective IO Courses Psy 710 – Leadership Research – Craig Psy 710 – Counterproductive Work Behavior – Craig Psy 710 – Computer-Mediated Work Behavior – Thompson Psy 755 – Cross-Cultural Research and Development Psy 770 – Organization Development and Change – Pond Psy 846 – Job Analysis – Wilson</p><p>Further, two departmental core courses are required from the groups below. At least one of the two courses must come from Group A. Group A: PSY 500 Visual Perception PSY 502 Physiological Psychology PSY 508 Cognitive Processes PSY 744 Human Information Processing Group B: PSY 511 Advanced Social Psychology PSY 584 Advanced Developmental Psychology PSY 591 History & Systems of Psychology</p><p>The minimum credit hours on an M.S. Plan of Work will be 36, the minimum credit hours earned in regular courses will be 24, and the minimum credit hours of thesis research will be 6. </p><p>1</p><p>The minimum credit hours on a Ph.D. Plan of Work will be 36 (if 36 relevant credit hours have already been taken as part of an M.S. in psychology at NCSU) or 54 (if 18 relevant credit hours have been taken as part of a master's degree completed elsewhere).
