<p>ONCE UPON A TIME IN FRANCE…</p><p>YOUR STORYBOOK MUST HAVE:</p><p> Your storybook must be bound or stapled. It should be written in ink or typed.</p><p> A visually appealing cover with illustrations and an appropriate title.</p><p> It should contain at least 16 pages of text and illustration</p><p> A brief introduction that provides a summary of the causes of the French Revolution, including the American Revolution and the conditions in France in the late 1780s.</p><p> Your story should follow the guidelines of historian Crane Brinton’s Stages of a Revolution. The story arc should follow Brinton’s stages, but you need to include at least two specific examples of events from the French Revolution that occurred in each of those stages… o Fall of the Old Order o Rule by Moderates o Radicalization of the Revolution o Turn from Radical Rule o Military Rule o Restoration </p><p> Each page must contain – o (1) an illustration of the event o (2) thought or voice bubbles coming from characters in the illustration o (3) narration describing how the event related to the French Revolution </p><p> A brief conclusion that explains how the events of the French Revolution contributed to the growth of democracy.</p><p> Additional touches to make the storybook artistic and visually appealing – use of color, page numbers, additional visuals or graphics, some quotes from individuals of the French Revolution, etc. It should include an “Author(s)’ Note” page that includes a brief summary of your topic & why you chose it.</p><p> It should have an “About the Author” page that contains biographical information on the author(s).</p>
