<p> The Griffon Bruxellois Breeders Association Open Show held on Sunday 13th July 2008 Judge: Mr Peter Taylor</p><p>A very pleasing entry of 71 dogs to be judged. This was reduced by absentees but I felt that the quality of the exhibits was of a high standard.</p><p>BIS - SANTARRA SALSA TO CILLEINE</p><p>RBIS & BOS – CH MARQUANT THE DREAM GIRL</p><p>BP – MARQUANT MY ROMEO</p><p>VETERAN (6,4): 1. Burr & Davies CH MARQUANT WIL SMITH – Smart B/R male whom I have placed highly on a previous occasion. Well constructed with a good head, eye, topline and coat. Carries his 8 years with style; 2. Rose’s RHODON FLO BLACK MINOR PUPPY DOG (3,1): 1. Spittle & Hewitt’s RHODON CAPTAIN SCARLETT – R/S with a nice turn up, lovely eye colour, good layback of shoulder, topline and stifles. Attentive and well trained 7 month old who moved and showed well; 2. Thompson’s BEAUVIEW DOUBT NOT ALLOWED. PUPPY DOG (4,3): 1. Price’s MARQUANT MY ROMEO R/R – Upstanding 11month old. Full of character who has a well arranged head, good eye, reach of neck, ribs and topline. Stood alone but could have seen some opposition with ease. When he settled moved well. BPIS. JUNIOR DOG (4,2): 1. Price’s MARQUANT MY ROMEO; 2. Chapman’s APTRICK EDORAS AT CILLEINE (B/S). YEARLING DOG (2,2) both absent. POST GRADUATE DOG (4): A class of differing coats, ages and types; 1. Swinge’s BALTHAZAR GOT THE HOTS – R/R well constructed and balanced boy. Has a good head, eye and ribs with short back. Moved in a lively manner and showed well; 2. Richard’s ORLOCK HOT AS HELL WITH LATOUR (R/S); 3. Higgin’s JAYDEAN DENZIL BLACK (B/R). LIMIT DOG (5,1): 1. Barney’s SANTARRA SALSA TO CILLEINE – 2 ½ years old R/R. A very good all round exhibit. Excellent head and turn up, good confirmation, ribs, topline, stifles and coat texture. He moved freely and easily on a loose lead with good front extension in profile. Was BEST DOG and later BEST IN SHOW where I felt his movement was the deciding factor; 2. Rose & Bardwell’s STEWELL PADDYWACK (R/R); 3. Andrew’s BEAUVIEW TELL ME A STORY (R/R). OPEN DOG (2,1): Swinge’s BEAUVIEW HOT GOSSIP – Upstanding R/R of 5 years. Good head, turn up, confirmation, topline, coat and quarters. Very positive mover who showed well; 2. Thompson’s BEAUVIEW HOTTING UP (R/R). MINOR PUPPY BITCH (4,1): 1. Thompson’s BEAUVIEW DEFIANTLY NO ANGEL – Immature 7 months old R/R. A promising puppy with well arranged facial features, good eye, confirmation, topline and the makings of a good textured coat. Moved well and showed well. BEST PUPPY BITCH & RBPIS; 2. Thompson’s BEAUVIEW DONT ASK (R/R); 3. Barney’s GAYSTOCK LA CALENDULA (R/S). PUPPY BITCH (4,3): 1. Ogden’s BEAUVIEW BOUNCED CHEQUE – 11 months old BT/S – Beautiful head, eye and confirmation. Excellent front, ribs, topline and movement. JUNIOR BITCH (5,2): 1. Price’s MEDLEY ALL TIME HIGH AT MARQUANT – very good headed R/R of 14 months. Lovely angulation, coat and topline with good ribs. Moved well on a good stride with excellent front extension; 2. Rose’s CILLEINE TEA ROSE (R/R); 3. Ogden’s BEAUVIEW SPOT CHECK (BT/S). YEARLING BITCH (3,1): 1. Suggit’s APTRICK MINAS TIRITH – Immature B/R with a pleasing head and eye, good reach of neck, good coat texture, topline and stifles. Still a little ‘leggy’ and will drop into her frame to complete the picture. Moved and showed correctly; 2. Rev Rose’s RHODON MISS CHIEF (R/S); 3. Harvey’s BEAUVIEW BARE NECESSITIES VIA EMIRARAE (R/S). POST GRADUATE BITCH (7,4): 1. Swinge’s BALTHAZAR HOT STUFF – Very good all round R/R, head, turn up, eye, confirmation, coat, topline and movement. Showed all the time; 2. Chapman’s CILLEINE SHUVANI (B/S); 3. Harris’ Mixonne Moonlight & Roses (R/R). LIMIT BITCH (7,4): 1. Harrison’s MIXONNE MAGGIE MAY AT HARRIZONA – Mature 5 year old R/R. Very short and compact with good ribs, topline and excellent coat texture. Moved soundly; 2. Swinges BEAUVIEW NOT ONE TO GOSSIP (R/R); 3. Rev Rose’s RHODON REGINA (R/S). OPEN BITCH (6,2): An excellent class headed by – 1. Price’s CH MARQUANT THE DREAM GIRL – outstanding B/R of 19 months. Excellent head, eye and confirmation, good topline, short, cobby and with good ribs, very good textured coat in gleaming condition. Moved well and was on her toes. Took this class by virtue of a slightly firmer topline. RBIS & BOS; 2. Barney’s R/R CH GAYSTOCK JUST A THOUGHT; 3. Payne’s R/S CHECAR CO CO. SP. OPEN SMOTH D/B (4): 1. Barney’s CILLEINE IMAGINE STERNROC – R/S 4 years old bitch with good head, turn up and eye, strongly made with very good ribs. In fit and hard condition. She moved with style; 2. Posnett’s Dreda Red Dragon (R/S); 3. Richard’s ORLOCK HOT AS HELL WITH LATOUR (R/S). SP. OPEN BLACK D/B (3): 1. Burr & Davies’ CH LIAMFORD MISS JET – B/R bitch of classic outline, now rising 5 years of age she has lost nothing in maturity. Built in a similar mould to the Open Bitch winner she has a good head, eye, reach of neck, ribs, topline and coat. Moved and showed well. RES.BEST BITCH; 2. Price’s MARQUANT ULTRA VIOLET (B/R); 3. Suggit’s APTRICK MINAS TIRITH (B/R). SP. OPEN BLACK & TAN D/B (2,1): 1. Thompson’s BEAUVIEW TROOP THE COLOUR – Excellent dog from any angle. Has an excellent head, turn up and eye, good reach of neck, topline, ribs, quarters and stifles. Add to this his very good coat texture, condition and presentation and you have a very good dog. Standing he is all you desire but could not match the drive and extension of the Limit dog on the challenge. Excellent type must prevail and I awarded him RES. BEST DOG. SP. BEGINNERS D/B (3,1): 1. Harris’ MIXONNE MELODY R/R of 8 years. Very good topline, kind head and eye and good coat. Moved and showed steadily; 2. Harvey’s BEAUVIEW BARE NECESSITIES VIA EMIRARAE (R/S).</p>
