<p> Matthew Bates</p><p>Matthew Bates, MPH, is the Senior Vice President of the innovation team at the Healthcare Business of Thomson Reuters. He spends his time understanding healthcare market forces and leading incubation of new solutions and product to address them. Matthew is currently working on incubation of opportunities around Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), US healthcare economic and health status indexes, HITECH Meaningful Use and the integration of provider electronic health records with claims data to improve analytics.</p><p>Matthew has held prior leadership roles in the Healthcare business of Thomson Reuters in product development and product management. Previously he served as the senior vice president of products and technology & CIO at Solucient LLC, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2006. Prior to this he served as senior principal for the health & life sciences practice at Knightsbridge Solutions; director of the pharmaceuticals and healthcare vertical business intelligence practice at Braun Consulting; and as manager of decision support services at Pinnacol Assurance. Matthew has a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Denver and a BS in Health Care Management from Metropolitan State College of Denver.</p>
