To create more interest and understanding in the intelligent choice of a healthcare career.</p><p>2. To unite in a common bond without regard to race, creed or national origin student enrolled in Sports Medicine.</p><p>3. To develop leadership that is competent and self reliant</p><p>4. To motivate students to accept academic challenges through competitive events</p><p>5. To improve scholarship and develop skills that will enable young men and women to participate effectively in a health care career.</p><p>6. To engage in individual and group projects</p><p>7. To recognize outstanding leadership</p><p>8. To create school loyalty and help preserve the principles of democracy</p><p>9. To instill leadership in students.</p><p>Article III – Membership (Who is eligible for membership and criteria used in selecting members)</p><p> This organization is open to all students in a health science program (Sports Medicine) at Higley High School. Membership is unified on the state and national level. Membership is establishes by payment of local, state and national dues. Any student enrolled in the a health career program is entitled to become an active member of the Organization</p><p>Article IV – Officers and Organization (Selection of officers, duties, terms, consequences for misbehavior, filling vacancies, etc.)</p><p> Officers of the chapter shall be nominated and elected by a majority vote at the beginning of the school year. (Or at the end of the previous school year) Vacancies on the officer team shall be filled at the by the advisor and/or officer team.</p><p>Article V - Meetings (Location, purpose, types, when they meet, where they meet, purpose, etc.)</p><p> One business meeting shall be held each month during the school year in room 325 for the purpose of reviewing, editing, and making progress towards achieving the goals set for in HOSA’s Program of Work. Additional meeting shall be called when necessary The officer team shall meet prior to each monthly meeting at the time specified by the President and Advisor.</p><p>Article VI - Amendments</p><p>These Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote at any regular chapter meeting, provided the amendment has been proposed by the officer team or any chapter member. Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing at least 60 days before the next regular meeting.
