In Spanish We Are Going to Work with Three Types of Verbs: AR /-ER

<p> Verbos –AR El presente</p><p>In Spanish we are going to work with three types of verbs: –AR /-ER / -IR. This will be our starting point for conjugating verbs to tell what people do (or are doing).</p><p>We need to remember our chart (the yellow one at the front of the room) with the subject pronouns. For each subject box there is an ending which we will add to each verb.</p><p>Start first with the verb and drop the –AR  Hablar  Habl- Then, we add the ending that corresponds with the person doing the action:  Habl- + -o  Hablo español. (I speak Spanish.)  Comp- + -as  Compras las plumas. (You buy pens.) </p><p>-o -amos Yo nosotros -as -áis Tú vosotros -a -an Él, ella, ud. Ellos, Ellas, Uds.</p><p>Remember: In Spanish we do not have to say the subject pronoun because the verb ending implies it.  Implicit vs. explicit subject</p><p>Conjugate the verbs for the person given: Yo mirar ______Ella usar______Uds. pagar______Tú hablar______Nosotros buscar ______</p>
