<p> APPLICATION FOR SAN ANGELO COMMUNITY BAND SCHOLARSHIP</p><p>The San Angelo Community Band is committed to supporting Angelo State University and to encouraging participation in the music program. We invite applicants of all skill levels who currently participate or plan to participate in the ASU Band Program to apply for a $500 Community Band Scholarship. Let us help you excel in your college career and continue your passion for music.</p><p>Eligibility Requirements: </p><p>This scholarship is open to current ASU students and to incoming freshmen or transfer students. Applications for the fall semester are due by August 15. Winners will be notified in mid-September, and the funds will be dispersed in the 14th week of that semester. Applicants can win this award more than once but no more than 4 times.</p><p>1. The applicant must be enrolled full-time at Angelo State University and must maintain at least 12 credit hours through the entire semester. 2. The applicant must participate in one of the large instrumental ensembles (ASU Wind Ensemble, ASU Symphonic Band, or ASU Marching Band) through the entire semester. 3. The applicant must have at least the equivalent of a 2.25 Grade Point Average at the time of application, and 4. All applicants must include a copy of their most recent/current academic transcript with this application.</p><p>If a student is awarded a scholarship but fails to meet the requirements above, he or she will not receive any scholarship funds at the semester’s end.</p><p>[This award is subject to certain legal restrictions that the San Angelo Community Band must follow. Applicants may be ineligible for this award if they are related to an officer or board member of the San Angelo Community Band and may also be ineligible if they or a family member have contributed funds or property directly to the San Angelo Community Band.
