<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Lu Gao Ph.D.</p><p>Huntington Learning Center to host an open house at the West Des Moines Location.</p><p>On Wednesday, July 26th, from 4-6 p.m. Huntington Learning Center of West Des Moines will host an open house for local parents and teachers.</p><p>The West Des Moines Huntington Learning Center helps students struggling with basic skills in mathematics, reading, study skills, test anxiety and other factors that play a role in academic achievement. Building on a 40-year track record as the longest running provider of supplemental education and “tutoring” services, Center Director Lu Gao Ph.D. and her staff offers personalized instruction by certified teachers to area students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. </p><p>“The entire team of educators at the West Des Moines Huntington Learning Center is dedicated to helping every one of our students unlock his or her full potential for academic achievement,” said Eileen Huntington. “With personalized instruction targeted to each student’s learning needs, we help students build the confidence, knowledge and skills that are vital for success in school. We want all of our students to be prepared for the demands of higher education and the workforce, and we’re determined to work in partnership with local parents and educators to ensure achievement for every student who enrolls in our program.”</p><p>In addition to providing on-site instruction, Huntington works with local schools to ensure that area educators and guidance counselors are aware of the services that are offered to struggling students. The Center also works with students to prepare for the SAT and ACT.</p><p>Every year, Huntington helps thousands of students improve their grades, raise their test scores and develop effective study skills. By individually diagnosing what is keeping students from doing their best, Huntington offers an instructional program directly tailored to each student’s needs. The program begins at a comfortable level, with assignments gradually increasing in difficulty as each new skill is mastered.
