Support materials coming late 2015-early 2016  Annual Conference (see agenda item) Treasurer’s report Grant See attached documents Annual Conference Susan  Discussion about venue and date: Decision was 1 day conference in Term 4 on 5 November at Novotel Central. There will be a 2 day conference attached to a weekend during Term 1 2016.</p><p>GTA NSW | Meeting notes 22 July 2015  Draft conference program will remove the fieldwork component and be adjusted to be a series of sessions addressing various aspects of the new syllabus. The idea is to present an overview of the new syllabus and some resources designed to support its implementation. Conference theme remains ‘Sustainable Futures: our places, our subject’. Presenters will include BOSTES representatives, university lecturers, World Vision representatives, Barangaroo/Lend Lease representatives  Assistance from Council members will be required for set up and assistance during the day please  Sally Egan (Dubbo) and Cathy Donnelly (Newcastle) have been nominated for the Brocke Rowe Awards- Lorraine will make contact with them about this AGTA Roadshow for NSW-ACT Susan/  26, 27, 28 November – Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle (I day per location) Grant  AGTA Roadshow model implemented in Brisbane earlier this year (Grant, Susan, Malcolm McInerney, John Butler, Mick Law) 2016 support for the new K-10 Geography Susan  Discussion of ideas, timing, location for 2016. Agreement of a 2 day conference in syllabus Term 1 with a primary ‘strand’ being worked through the program. Focus will be on the concepts and spatial thinking as well as suitable fieldwork opportunities and inquiry based teaching and learning methodologies</p><p>Update: Geography Bulletin Lorrai  Articles to Lorraine within the next fortnight please. The focus for this issue is ne/Gr ‘Geography in the classroom’ – articles are focused on flipped classroom practice in ant Year 11 Geography; the use of spatial technologies in teaching Geography; a case study of Chicago for Urban Places Any other business  Next meeting Susan Wednesday 12 August 2015</p><p>Future meetings: 2 September, 14 October (AGM), 2 December</p><p>GTA NSW | Meeting notes 22 July 2015</p>
