<p> Commission on Diversity and Inclusion Committee Meeting Minutes 4/25/2017</p><p>Attendees: Harold Blackman, Gonzalo Bruce, Will Hughes, Donna Llewellyn, Scott Lowe, Arturo Rodriguez, Susan Shadle, Angela Taylor, Katie Thomas, Gayla Thomas-Dabney, Tammi Vacha-Haas, Angeli Weller, Sherepta Mcleod, Francisco Salinas, Leslie Webb, Sienna George and Tomas Baiza</p><p>AGENDA ITEMS Updates: Communication and Actions Working Group Reporting Other</p><p>Draft Reports are due today (4/25) from the working groups if at all possible.</p><p>Donna proposed a timeline – she and Gayla still need to review it – the agreed upon timeline will be sent out tomorrow (4/26).</p><p>We will circle back with Working group #7 to determine what insights about infrastructure would meet our needs the best. (Note that working group #7 has recommendations ready, but wanted to review recommendations from other working groups to determine if the data needed to be incorporated into the infrastructure tasks as well.)</p><p>Donna/Gayla will compile the reports and look for any overlapping that may be present They will propose what other data is needed and what gaps are exposed.</p><p>Once the report is put together it will be reviewed by the Commission. </p><p>While we announced that each working group will be presenting their information to President Kustra with a maximum of 3 slides, Gayla was subsequently told by President Kustra that the request was for us to provide only written recommendations at this time. We will let the teams know if an in-person presentation is requested at a later data. </p><p>Presentations should be given to President Kustra in late spring/early summer and this will give him the summer to think about the presentations and recommendations.</p><p>There will be a follow up in the fall 2017 to have the focus groups and whatever else might be needed.</p><p>Donna will be out of the office from 5/2/17 – 5/14/17.</p><p>All working groups gave their updates and recommendations. There was discussion around overlap that was discovered between the various groups. </p>
