PIC’s Bill, SB 125, regarding Commission Counsel’s powers was signed by the Governor on March 17, 2016.</p><p>HB 197 which clears up confusion about lobbyist expense reporting and campaign contributions is out of the House Administrative Committee and Sen. Peterson has signed on as a sponsor in the Senate. Currently waiting for a House vote. </p><p>B. Commission Counsel contacted Ambassador (ret.) Eisen to check on his availability to provide an informative ethics speech to State leaders. Prior to becoming Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Ambassador Eisen was known as President Obama’s “Ethics Czar”. He is currently a fellow at a think tank in Washington D.C.
