<p> Snack-Tectonics Lab</p><p>**This lab write-up MUST be typed**</p><p>Make category headings for each section in bold and then use full sentences to answer each question.</p><p>Purpose: What is the purpose of this lab?</p><p>Background Information: Write 1-3 paragraphs about plate boundaries. You may use any source (internet, textbook book, etc.) but it MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS!</p><p>Procedures: Describe what you did in paragraph form, not a list. Use 3rd person. No “I”, “We” etc.</p><p>Data: (This is the only part that doesn’t need to be typed) Draw each plate boundary and label the lithosphere, types of crust, asthenosphere, and the direction of plate movement. Give a 1-2 sentence caption for each figure.</p><p>Data Analysis Questions: 1. What type of crust is represented by the graham crackers? 2. What type of crust is represented by the fruit roll-up? 3. What physical layer of the earth does the frosting represent? 4. Give one real –life example of each type of plate boundary: a. Continental- Continental Collision b. Oceanic-Continental Collision c. Transform Boundary d. Divergent Boundary 5. What are some of the limitations of the models you’ve created?</p><p>This is due January 8, 2014</p>
