<p> JOB POSTING</p><p>POSITION: English Proofreader (One-year contract)</p><p>DEPARTMENT: Linguistic Services, Janssen-Ortho Inc.</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS:  University degree in English, humanities or health related field, or equivalent.  Minimum of 2 years experience as proofreader or copy editor, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical environment.  Superior attention to accuracy and detail.  Ability to function well under pressure.  Strong interpersonal skills.  Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES:  Coordinate proofreading requests according to priorities.  Proofread English documents.  Document all discrepancies identified in the proofreading process.  Perform proofreading in compliance with Department’s and customers’ SOPs.  Copy edit documents at the development stage.  Prioritize workload to meet customer’s timeline.  Assign jobs to vendors on site, if extra help is required.  Maintain logs up to date.  Keep abreast of medical terminology to understand documents being proofread.  Carry out other related duties.</p><p>If interested, please submit a resume to Judy Chong, Human Resources, Janssen-Ortho Inc., at [email protected] no later than February 15, 2005.</p>
