<p>VSP-7000 Architect & Engineer Specification</p><p>Bid Spec</p><p>1.0 Description The System Controller described shall be a Sanyo Model number VSP-7000 or equivalent. The System Controller described shall be an industrial grade, System Controller utilizing a proprietary bi- directional communication protocol (SSP). 2.0 Bid Specifications The system controller shall have the capability to control up to 256 total SSP compatible devices (Multiplexers, Recorders, controllers and cameras) on a single wire run (RS485) up to a distance of 4000 feet total (1st to last device). The System controller shall have the capability to control up to 128 like (same type of device i.e.: recorders) devices and up to 4 additional controllers. The system controller shall also have the ability to control devices in groups of any combination (up to 15 groups total). The system controller shall have the ability to control all programming and set up functions of SSP compatible Video Recorders, Multiplexers and Cameras via their on screen menu systems. The video controller shall have the ability to control all functions and operations of SSP compatible video recorders, Multiplexers and cameras. The system controller shall have individual and master lock out functions with password protection. The system controller shall have the ability to be connected to up to 4 additional controllers. The master controller (address 000) shall have the ability to lock out functions of all other controllers. The system controller shall have the ability to communicate at the following baud rates: 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200bps. The system controller shall have bi-directional communication ability to check the current status on all SSP compatible video recorders, Multiplexers and video cameras. In addition, the system controller shall have the ability to log up to the last 100 changes in status (by displaying location, time date and device on its built in LCD display) on any device. As any changes in status occur, the system controller gives an immediate visual notification. The system controller shall have bi-directional communication ability to give a visual notification if there is an alarm condition. As alarms occur, the system controller shall keep a log of the last 100 alarm events, which can be accessed, to show (on its LCD display) location, time, date and type of alarm. The system controller shall be no larger than 14.5”x2.1”x64”(WxHxD) (376x55x166mm) and weigh approx. 3.2lbs. (1.45Kg). The system controller shall operate on +12V DC with supplied AC adapter. The system controller shall have (2) RJ-11 type connectors and (1) Pair of Push Lock connectors (for twisted pair/CAT5 wiring).
