Charlotte McDonagh David Webbe-Wood, David Weekes Syria Dee Weekes Emma Frampton The film “Syria through a Lens”, the life and works of the Syrian filmmaker Feras Dib Bassel Shehadeh, was shown and afterwards Feras Dib, a friend of Bassel Fiona Hand, Ken Ryder, who was killed last year, gave a short talk on the background to the conflict Kristina Blagojevich and recounted his personal experiences. He then answered questions and Mariela Quaranta, urged viewing the film on YouTube. A letter on this would be available at Shelagh Vouillemin the letter writing evening on 28th May. There would also be a letter about Simon Ware Afghan women. Only a token presence was necessary at the letter writing evening as priority would be working at the garage for the book sale.
