<p> Amnesty International Blackheath and Greenwich News letter MAY 2013 </p><p>London Region Present: Mariella reported that at the London Region meeting the group were urged to Ann Hillary support the street collection and other events organised by London Region. Charlotte McDonagh David Webbe-Wood, David Weekes Syria Dee Weekes Emma Frampton The film “Syria through a Lens”, the life and works of the Syrian filmmaker Feras Dib Bassel Shehadeh, was shown and afterwards Feras Dib, a friend of Bassel Fiona Hand, Ken Ryder, who was killed last year, gave a short talk on the background to the conflict Kristina Blagojevich and recounted his personal experiences. He then answered questions and Mariela Quaranta, urged viewing the film on YouTube. Mary Carpenter, Michael Graham Monthly Action Neil Conduit, Rachel Errington Sarah Manvell briefly Individual at Risk – Mahdi Abu Dheeb. A letter on this would be available at Shelagh Vouillemin the letter writing evening on 28th May. There would also be a letter about Simon Ware Afghan women. Only a token presence was necessary at the letter writing evening as priority would be working at the garage for the book sale.
