Campgrounds at Horseshoe Road and Valley Oak provide picnic tables, restrooms, garbage cans and fire pits. Drinking water is not available only at these two sites.</p><p>Camping is by permit only and reservations are recommended. From Modesto take Highway 132 East 14 miles to Waterford; in Waterford turn right on Hickman Road (county road J-9) and drive 1 mile to Lake Road. Four campgrounds offer a total of 114 campsites for tent and RV camping - 40 campsites have full-hookups. Amenities include a picnic table, fire ring and flush toilets. Activities at Woodward Reservoir include fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking and radio control airplane flying. First-come, first-served. </p>
