SESS. 06 RS BR 2650</p><p>A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in honor of Representative Jon David Reinhardt upon the occasion of his retirement from this honorable body following more than two decades of dedicated service to the citizens of the Commonwealth. WHEREAS, Jon David Reinhardt began his legislative career in 1984, serving the citizens of the 69th Legislative District. A native of Northern Kentucky, he was educated at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Kentucky, and once served as chair of the Campbell County Republican Party. Throughout his tenure, Representative Reinhardt has championed the causes of small business interests, has been a steadfast supporter of Right to Life, and has been a strong advocate for the rights and interests of Kentucky's laborers. Dedicated to the cause of restricting the role of government in individuals' everyday lives, he was named the "Taxpayers' Best Friend" in 1994 by the Kentucky Taxpayers United, for his consistent efforts to curb state spending and reduce the size and scope of state government; and WHEREAS, Jon David Reinhardt has served on a number of legislative committees throughout the years, including serving as vice chair of the Licensing and Occupations Committee, and as a member of the Elections, Constitutional Amendments, and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, and the Health and Welfare and State Government Committees. Active in his local community, he is a member of the Elks and the</p><p>Telephone Pioneers of America, and is Lieutenant Governor of the Kentucky/West Virginia Optimist Club. As he leaves legislative service, Representative Reinhardt looks forward to spending time with his loving wife, Beulah, or "Boots," as she is affectionately known, and contributing to his community through new and rewarding endeavors; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:</p><p>Page 1 of 2 BR265000.100-2650 UNOFFICIAL COPY AS OF 06/27/18 06 REG. The House of Representatives congratulates Representative Jon David Reinhardt upon his retirement from this body, and extends to him every wish for many years of good health and happiness. While his legislative service has come to a close, this public servant will always be guided by the words of George Bernard Shaw: "I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can."
