<p> LAKE VIEW ESTATES PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION MINUTES FOR BOARD MEETING May 9, 2016</p><p>Attendance: Board members: Dick Dayton, Ron Morgan, Kathy Menk, Ann Bacher & Frank Rikard ARC committee members present: Ba Porterfield and Sylvia Womack. Residents present: Harold Crosby, Davey Jones, Linda Terry, Lynn Ferguson, Theresa Moulse, Fred Blake & Ike McAlpin. Guest speaker: Kim Koniar</p><p>Invocation : Dick Dayton</p><p>POA Board Meeting- called to order at 10:00 a.m.</p><p>Swearing in of new board members – Rick Southworth – Vice President Davey Jones – ARC Chairperson The positions were approved by the board.</p><p>New Volunteers – Thank you to: ARC Committee – Theresa Moulse Charles Tindall</p><p>Beautification Committee - Mitzi Alemond </p><p>Welcoming Committee - Lynn Ferguson </p><p>Time of Board Meeting The time of meetings was discussed with the new members. The future Lake View Estates POA board meetings will be at 9 A.M. on the second Monday of the month at the Glenlakes Clubhouse.</p><p>BCSS Report – Dan Gormley No report</p><p>Lake Muriel Chairman –Harold Crosby No report</p><p>Welcoming Committee – Linda Terry & Lynn Ferguson One new resident was contacted in April. </p><p>ARC Report – Frank Rikard Mike McAlpin stated that he is concerned with the DR Horton home that will be built on Eagle Lane & Clubhouse Dr. The water drainage will be an issue depending on where the driveway is located. The City of Foley has been called to review the situation before the construction begins. Board members and ARC members will make a site visit to understand the problem.</p><p>REMEMBER: If you make a change to your home without approval and it is not acceptable to the ARC Committee, you will be asked to make changes. This includes tinting or painting driveways, roofing and other projects. </p><p>Please get approval from the ARC Committee before you make any changes to your property.</p><p>Drive-bys will be conducted monthly. A report will be sent to a volunteer who will personally contact the resident. If that effort fails, the board will send a letter concerning the violation to the covenants. The volunteer was instructed to use the covenants for the amount of time allowed until the violations are to be corrected. Lakeview Dr & Co Rd 12 Entrance The entrance planter at Lakeview Drive & Co Rd 12 was damaged by a vehicle and has been repaired at a cost of $40.</p><p>Beautification Committee – Sylvia Womack, Mitzi Alemond & Fred Blake The entrance at Fairway Dr and Co Rd 20 will be designed in the near future. This committee will be responsible for the plantings around the new signage and will help determine the best placement at the entrance. We want to thank Jerry Dubose for noticing that the water and electrical connections were not installed on both sides of the road as promised by the City of Foley. The board approved $138 for the correction and we now have water and power on both sides of Fairway Drive. This will be essential for the new entrance.</p><p>Accountant As a cost saving measure, the board is investigating alternatives to the current accounting firm. Kim Koniar made a presentation for our consideration. The board will make a decision before the current contract renewal date in June.</p><p>Financial Report for April, 2016 - The financial report for April, presented at the Annual Meeting was approved. </p><p>April Minutes – were approved.</p><p>DiRectmanagement Collection Agency and Property Liens – Dick Dayton One lien was released due to full payment and one lien is still active. </p><p>Annual Meeting Review The board discussed, at length, how to improve the Annual Meeting next May. Many ideas were suggested and will be developed prior to next year.</p><p>ADJOURNMENT – the meeting was adjourned at 12:15 PM</p><p>Next scheduled board meeting: June 13, 2016 @ 9:00 AM</p>
