<p> Name: ______</p><p>DTEC 105 Lab #13 Axle Lab This lab’s objective is to teach students about axles. We will be looking at wheel bearing end play, gear lash, and overall design of rears/axles. There will be three stations:  Station #1: Students will remove the Ottawa’s axles and use a dial indicator to find wheel bearing end play. Students will also look at rolling torque.  Station #2: Students will disassemble the red rear on the stand. Students will measure the shims in each side of the rear and find the gear lash.  Station #3: Students will look at power flow/air flow through the two speed rear and decide if it’s a two speed rear or locking rear. Students will use Eaton Service Manual: AXSM-0041.</p><p>Questions: (all questions should be answered from the materials listed above or from your textbook.)</p><p>1.
