<p>CATEGORY: VOLUNTEER MEDALLION Rev. Date: 09/09/2015 OPERATIONS Date Created: 10/17/2014 POLICY AND GUIDELINE #GP6-001 Policy/ Procedure Date Reviewed:10/16/2016</p><p>PURPOSE: The purpose of this policy is to outline the awards that WGANC gives to its volunteers in appreciation for their years of service. Those who receive this award are retiring Directors, Rules Officials and Course Raters with individual criteria for each.</p><p>POLICY: It is the policy of WGANC to pay for and present a gold medallion in appreciation for a certain number of years of services to the following:</p><p> DIRECTORS: Retiring Directors shall receive a choice of two gold medallions – Contemporary or Bear design (see photo below) and containing the number of stones of their choices for the equal number of years of service up to 5, as follows: (i.e. 1 year of service = 1 stone of choice)</p><p>Diamond (for Presidents only) Pearl Amethyst Blue Topaz Ruby Sapphire</p><p>WGANC shall pay for one diamond for each year of service as President. Any additional stones must be paid for by the recipient at the going rate at the time of retirement. She may choose synthetic stones, if she desires.</p><p> COURSE RATERS: Course Raters who retire with 20 years of service shall receive the gold medallion shown on the attached. This medallion does not contain any stones.</p><p> RULES OFFICIALS: Rules Officials who retire after 10 years of service AND who did not otherwise receive a gold medallion for serving on the Board of Directors of WGANC, shall receive the gold medallion shown on the attached. There are no stones in this medallion.</p><p>OFFICE PROCESS: In October, the Executive Director will determine retiring Directors, Course Raters and Rules Officials, if any, and will contact them with the choices they </p><p>1Volunteer-Medallion-Policy-101616.docx Volunteer Medallion Policy have for their medallions, if applicable.
