<p> Instructional sequence 9th grade Fitness Day 1 Skill: abdominal workout Concepts: TA form / Global “core Muscular Endurance Personal /Social: Execute tasks asked by instructor Activities: Recording of curl up (fitness gram) (Station work)Sit ups, leg lifts, crunches, abdominal twists, bicycles</p><p>Day 2 Skill:Sit and Reach Concepts: TA Form / Flexibility Personal/Social: Sportsmanship Activities: Partner practice/ Partner stretching, Recording of data Sit and Reach (Fitness gram)</p><p>Day 3 Skill: Push-up Concepts:TA Form / Upper Body Strength Personal/Social: Respect for Peers Activities: Recording of Push Up data (Fitness Gram) Stations- incline feet, triangle hand position, claps, holds.</p><p>Day 4 Skill: Jump Rope Concepts: TA Form / Endurance Personal/Social: Respect for self Activities: single, double, crosses, backward (Record any missing data, push up, curl up, sit and reach, Fitness Gram)</p><p>Day 5 Skill: Pacer Concepts: Endurance / Running Form Personal/Social: Personal Best Activities: Pacer run, Record any missing students data, push up, curl up, sit and reach, Fitness Gram.</p><p>Day 6 Skill: Pacer (Record) Concepts: Endurance / Running form Personal/Social: Personal Best Activities: Pacer run (Record, Fitness Gram)</p><p>Day 7 Skill: Fitness station Concepts: Circuit Training Personal/Social: Self motivation Activities: Fitness dice/ Push ups, sit ups (how many in a trial) /jump rope (How many until a mistake) Sit and Reach- (Finish up Fitness Gram)</p><p>Day 8 Skill: Fitness station Concepts: Circuit Training Personal/Social: Self motivation Activities: Fitness dice/ Push ups, sit ups (Different technique) /jump rope (Double Dutch) Partner Stretch (Deltoids, Latismus Dorsi) (Finish up any unfinished data for Fitness Gram)</p><p>Day 9 Skill: Fitness station Concepts: Circuit Training Personal/Social: Self motivation Activities: Fitness dice/ Push ups, sit ups (3 sets of 5/10/20) /jump rope (Crossover) Partner stretch (V sits, Hamstring, Quads)</p><p>Day 10 Skill: Fitness Olympics Concepts: Fitness Personal/Social: Personal Best Activities: Hold various challenges for the students and see if they can conquer them. (Hold bottom part of a push up for 1 min, Hold a sit up at a 45 degree angle for 1 min, Straight arm hang for 1.5 minutes, Run 8 laps around the gym in 2 min, etc…)</p>
