<p> Nita McClellan, Public Affairs Officer (9180 577-3704 (office) (918) 577-7960 (Cell) [email protected] News Release</p><p>Department of Veterans Affairs</p><p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 18, 2016 No. 16-36</p><p>FREE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT CLASS FOR VETERANS</p><p>The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System Veteran and Family Advisory Council will sponsor a </p><p>Basic Life Support (BLS) class for Veterans on July 23 at 10 a.m. at Go Ye Village, located at 1201 W.</p><p>4th St. in Tahlequah.</p><p>The BLS training helps individuals respond safely and effectively to medical emergencies. The course includes: scene safety and assessment, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Automated </p><p>External Defibrillator (AED) use for adults, children and infants and obstructed airways. </p><p>Veterans will receive free certification cards upon completion of the class.
