Activities are finalised when the weather is known to ensure the best activities are matched to the conditions. They include rock climbing, problem solving activities, abseiling, archery and orienteering.

There are four adults accompanying the children during the 2 days – all members of staff (Mrs Brown, Mrs Thomas, Mrs Brett, Mr Davies). All have been scrutinised under the DBS process and are cleared to work with children. This gives a ratio of 1:7 for the journey and the activities. For the activities there are instructors leading each group in addition to school staffing so the group activity ratio is 1 to 6.
