Official present to introduce himself to the council. Council was provided with his resume’. Scott gave a run- down of what types of services he provides other Cities he works with and they include Rental and Nuisance Enforcement Inspections, Municipal Resident and Commercial Inspections. Sadusky explained that the Building Code is an all or nothing and it is not an option to pick and choose which parts you wish to enforce. His response time is no longer than 48 hours. Sadusky stated that he would be willing to tackle the rental ordinance at a later time, but would like to start with the building inspector and then work the rest of the stuff in. He will work up a fee schedule and let the City know.  INCIDENT AT JR’S- Ryan Nelson and Sara Poehler present to discuss the incident at Jr’s discussed at the regular Council meeting on the 9th. Ryan does not agree with the Mayors decision that there does not need to be more investigation of the response time of this incident. He feels that Chief Sand deliberately withheld service and did not respond when he first got the call. He stated past events show that they are out to get him and that he does not feel safe in this community. He has moved his business out of town for this exact reason and will not return as long as Paul is still employed here. He is requesting that the City have Lt Scott Thompson from the county review the incident and if Lt Thompson feels that the City acted appropriately he will accept his decision. But he is unwilling to accept the Mayor’s decision as he does not feel that she is qualified to do so. He stated the fact that she did not review the taped calls from Sara showed that a thorough investigation was not done. The Mayor explained that Sara’s calls were not provided to her from the County. Mayor Hansen stated that she stands by her decision and it was based on the information she was given and the City was not going to enlist Scott Thompson to investigate. Sara Poehler stated that she is going back to the County and pursue this further.  FAIRGROUNDS: Jerry Peterson present for the Pine River Area Foundation. Peterson states that the Foundation received an anonymous donation of $7,500 which requires a $2,500 match. They would like to erect a 6 foot chain link fence around a portion of the grounds and extend some water lines. They also wanted to do some sewer work but this is not feasible at this time. They would like to possibly move the recycling across the street to some property owned by the County or possible put up a U shaped fence with cloth fabric to stop the debris from blowing. Peterson states that they have 100 paid reservations already for next year. Melby states that the ground look great and Gregory and Hansen thanked Peterson for the work the Foundation is doing at the fairgrounds.  INTERVIEWING: Melby wonders if the City should advertise the deputy clerk position earlier than January and get someone hired sooner to allow for more training. Clerk states that January is audit prep and there is no extra time to train anyone. More discussion in December as to when to advertise and hire.

______Wanda Mongan, Clerk Treasurer Attest
