<p> 13th June 2015</p><p>SAFDA BOARD MEETING Minutes</p><p>Present: Ash, Danni, Hannah, Alex, Joel, Casey, Tim, Declan, Marty, Sean, Jony, Narelle, Taryn, Fran, Fred, Rex, Diana</p><p>Apologies: Jessie</p><p>Next meeting: Wednesday 12/08 (start at 7pm) Location: Alex and Joel’s new house in Mile End</p><p>Portfolio Goals - Some board members still need to come up Previous Actionable with their three goals. Items - Joel to monitor accomplishment of goals Action: Submit goals to Joel (everybody) Next league Structure + improvements - Survey responses (not as much hate for 5-2 as expected) - Incentives - Sense of community - Div 1 mixed, Div 2 Men’s and Women’s - Filtering social players into Div 1 pathways (social – div 2 – div 1) - Crafted league - Review of league at end of season - Recruitment of six Div 2 Women’s teams* - Payment structure – cheaper league fees, discounts for new players - O week recruitment - Encouraging people to play both divs - Back up plan: restructured div 2 (i.e. 4:3 women) - Decision re: league structure to be made by 11/08* - push start of league back by two weeks if restructuring required - Structure decision: div 1 mixed, div 2 mens and womens, fees 60, 40, 70 (both)** - Div 1 Free agents that float and get inserted into teams that need experience - 2 div 1 players on the field in div 2, no more than 3 allowed on team Calendar - Talk to Joel and Danni to add items to Calendar - Oct/Nov – plan second half of financial year - 26th Sept mixed super tournament (Jony) - 21st – 22nd Nov – Vintage Hat - Sat 5th Dec – Big Kev’s/SAFDAs - Encourage clubs to run tournaments (with SAFDAs support) - First half of the year = when clubs run their events 13th June 2015</p><p>South/City Social - Social leagues to be run through the website League - $20-25 player fee - City social league held at Lutheran fields Big Recruit - Club reps for O week - Hat tournament 16/08 - Volunteers needed for help with hat tournament (lunch, field setup etc) - Showcase game at hat tournament - Stands for clubs at come and try - Alex to send out email – Ale house 6:30 meeting Initiatives - Schools and uni’s - marketing facilities - women’s - coaching programs - SAFDA has a lot of money which the board would like to spend on things which will benefit the ultimate community - City social league - Buy: trailer, bbq, marques (to be kept at Casey’s. - Decided against AUGs cost subsidy - offer manpower rather than money </p><p>Action: Casey and Declan and Alex to organise trailer etc</p><p>Survey - negative reviews for last mixed league due to split fields and lack of lights - mixed reviews on hat league - women’s development – happy with coaches, most heard through friends or facebook, hat- club organisation lacking - recruitment through word of mouth only - community too cliquey - info hard to find - noobs find it hard to know how to get into things – website needs to be made clearer - get ultimate into local newsletters etc. - need to be making goals and meeting them for all events run – Advertise better</p><p>EBF - Currently an EBF in SAFDAs policy for all weekend tournaments etc. - Pro: keep EBF since league fees are being reduced - Hold off on decision for six months on EBF. - No retrospective invoicing - Repeal club rebate 13th June 2015</p>
