Welcome to a super summer! A week with something for everyone to celebrate! It’s Easter…no it’s Christmas…no it’s Halloween… no it’s EVERYTHING!!! Friday will be Happy Birthday to everyone! Face painting, costumes, Easter egg hunt and more are planned for this week! </p><p>Week 2- July 11-15 Reach for the Stars: This week is out of this world!! We’ll turn ourselves into aliens and astronauts and explore the stars and planets. We’ll make space slime and rocket ships! Special guest this week from the Discovery Centre.</p><p>Week 3- July 18-22 Hidden Treasures: Get ready to search for treasures this week! What will we find when we go Geocaching? Hope we find everything on our scavenger hunt at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. </p><p>Week 4- July 25-29 Stars R Us! Come one; come all to the greatest show in town!! Put your hands together as we welcome to the stage…YOU!! Do you dance? Play an instrument? Act? You’ll get to express yourself on the stage during our Camp talent show! This week’s trip is to the Buskers to watch other performers strut their stuff!! </p><p>Week 5- Aug 2-5 Home town Heroes: Who’s your hero? What makes a hero be a hero? Are you a hero? You’ll get a chance to dress up as your hero, along with a visit from some local heroes. We’ll take a tour of the Maritime Command Museum and look at past heroes. Please note that Aug 1st is a holiday and camp is closed</p><p>Week 6- August 8-12 Outside the Box: It’s time to use our imagination and think outside the box! What does imagination mean? It means science, art, engineering, baking, and more! We’ll take a trip to one of the many art and design galleries in the city, work our way out of our own escape room, and see what we can build from the mystery engineering bag!</p><p>Week 7- August 15-19 Go for the Gold: The Olympics aren’t just in Rio this year! This is a week full of fun sports and activities. We will be getting active in so many ways such as floor hockey, dance, soccer, basketball, swimming and more! We will test our strength and endurance with a challenging obstacle course. We’ll also head to the Halifax Commons for our annual Camp Showdown!</p><p>Week 8- August 22-26 Last Splash Bash! Summer’s almost over! Oh no! Slap on the sunscreen as we head outside to enjoy our favorite summertime games & activities & beaches! Frisbee, building sandcastles, water games, and frozen treats make this week a great way to round up summer!
