Reason for change: when creating a new LD with size more than 2TB, if using default LD whole size without D size input from CLU, it is no problem. But if you input any size more then 2 TB from CLU, you will get wrong LD size. Change made: change CLU LD creation interface function, the LD size parameter should be 32bit not 16 bit. </p><p>2. Reason for change: during VTrak unit cold boot, (power off and power on again, sometimes some disks will not be recognized,( disk drops intermittently) . it is because communication lost between disk and the controller chip. Change made: during VTrak unit booting up, SATA module scan disk twice and add toggling at HW bits forcing handshake with the slot that did not detect any disk. The change was limited on initialization routine, no run time code was changed </p><p>3. Reason for change: using Hitachi 400/500GB SATA drive, format will fail under windows disk management, Change made: Work around 500G and 400G Hitachi SATA timeout on PIO Verify Command. The disk was timing out once every 10 Verify Cmd</p><p>4. Reason for change: Power supply FAN speed working range is not suitable for new vendor, will give incorrect warning. (use for manufactory hardware testing), Change made: Change FAN speed working range value to avoid incorrect warning. (Minimum low speed changed from 3750 to 3000rpm)</p><p>WD 400GB/Hitachi 500GB hard Drive Errata</p><p>1. Open issue: The issue is during unit cold boot, (power off and power on again, sometimes some disks (WD400GB) will not be recognized, (disk drops intermittently). it is because communication lost between disk and the controller chip.</p><p>Solution: The issue described above is still under investigation by promise engineering staff and should be address in the next FW release.</p>
