But remote handover commands can be used in certain cases.  Matheu: o Transport requirements may be different from MIH level functionality requirements e.g. capability, discovery etc. This should be separated  Srini o Agreed  Srini o Presented usage scenarios for ES/CS.  Someone o Do we need network to network scenario?  Srini

Minutes page 1 November-2005 21-05-xxxx-00-0000

o It is useful for transporting commands between two MIH nodes. Already present in the draft. Could also be used for ES.  Srini o Presented very high level transport requirements derived from IS work. o Question about message boundaries, on what it means. It means there is no fragmentation required from transport layer  Peretz o Do we need NAT traversal? Do we need to mention this?  Stefano o Must be explicitly stated if we need it.  Nada/Junghoon/Others o ES/CS may be time-critical, need to mention this as a requirement.  Srini o Absolutely, it will be added  There was further discussion on the wording and adding reliability part to the transport  Srini o "need reliable transport in timely delivery of ES/CS messages" This was agreed by the participants.  Stefano: o Discovery may be common with IS  Junghoon o Points out that discovery must be defined in 802.21  Stefano o No new mechanism needed may be needed. There are plenty already defined in IETF. o Described what is a registration or an attachment procedure. It is used to make a binding between terminal to network MIH to send ES/CS between them.  Stefano o Security handling must be left to IETF.  Peretz o We need to work on ES/CS messages and finalize them.  Stefano: o Agreed. This should be done as soon as possible. o Next step is to elaborate on the requirements in a document for next ad hoc conference.

Attendees

(More may have attended.
