The large majority of pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is about half the national average. The proportion of disabled pupils and those with special educational needs who are supported through school action is below average as is the proportion supported at school action or with an Educational Health Care Plan. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium funding is significantly lower than that found nationally. The school currently has two forms of entry and three forms in year two. The school works with a cluster of local schools in the Heatons. </p><p>Particular area(s) of Teaching and Learning. Expertise/Strength SEND. Lead staff have developed over time insight and analytical skills to undertake due diligence activities to ensure that the work planned meets the correct priorities and is deliverable within our capacity. Initial meetings lead to clear plans with SMART outcomes and clear timescales.</p>
