So I think it’s time we have a little fun! In your group, you will be constructing your own soil profile in class and labeling each horizon. Each group will create their own soil column using the edible materials provided by the group members. The edible materials must closely represent the composition of each horizon. By now, you should have a clear understanding of what is found in each horizon. Each group will be graded by their final product.</p><p>Expectations:  This part of your lab is worth 20 point  Your group is responsible for your own materials  You must be able to easily distinguish each horizon and be able to see the composition of each horizon  After your group has completed their edible soil profile, each student will fill out the Soil Profile description sheet.  Finally, in your group, you must write a 5 paragraph lab report.
