Dear Sharon, We are currently running a study that is looking at what grows on the bottoms of yachts. We have had a great response from False Bay, Royal Cape and Port Owen yacht clubs and would like include Saldanha Bay Yacht Club too. The study includes divers taking samples from the bottom of the yachts as well as us using a remote submarine to film what is growing on the hulls. We also ask boat owners / managers to complete a quick survey about the yachts travel history and maintenance. As members at the other yacht clubs seem to have enjoyed being involved (in fact we are spending next Thursday evening at FBYC giving feedback), I wonder if your members would also like to come on board. We would be happy to come and give a presentation one evening to explain it all to everyone, but if you prefer we would appreciate it if you could send out the attached advert to your members.

I’d be happy to give you a call if you would like more information.
