<p>New Student Orientation 2016</p><p>1. Pick up room numbers and filter into auditorium 1:00 – 1:15 2. Welcome to EHS! 1:15-1:30 a. Link Crew dancing entrance – All b. Introduce Link Crew and our goal – Ms. Savell c. Admin introductions – Mr. Hyde, etc. 3. Split into small groups 1:30-1:45 a. Announce Leaders and Room Numbers – Kendra b. Leaders collect new students and transition to rooms</p><p>Small Group Activities 4. Introductions 1:50-2:00 a. Names, Fun Facts Game 5. Decorate white T-shirts 2:00-2:20 a. Use messages like: “EHS,” “We’ve got 2020 vision!” “Mustangs,” and other school related messages. Students may write APPROPRIATE nicknames or team names on shirts if you desire. Write initials in sharpie on the tag! 6. Pass out snacks and watch video (listen for the announcement) 2:20-2:40 (During the video, one LC Mentor will bring the shirts out to the drying/dying station behind the cafeteria) 7. Read through Handbook Highlights 2:40-2:50 8. Hand out Student Email Tutorial sheets 2:50 9. Make plans for where to meet on the first day of school and at what time.</p><p>Games and Final Ceremonies 10. Listen for announcement for Scavenger Hunt Instructions – 2:55-3:00 a. Scavenger Hunt Rules – Ms. Savell b. Scavenger Hunt Begins! 3:05ish (WAIT FOR THE GO SIGNAL!) c. Scavenger Hunt ENDS in the Auditorium! 11. Team Kahootz 3:30-3:45 a. What did you find out about EHS? b. Winning team gets a SMALL prize! 12. Hand out schedules 3:45-4:00 a. 9th grade in the Gym Foyer b. 10th-12th grade in the Counseling center 13. Once students have picked up their schedules, they MUST go outside to get their shirts. Students are NOT allowed back in the building. Students are also NOT allowed to roam the halls once Orientation has ended. </p><p>Link Crew MUST STAY to clean up!!! Do not leave until your room and area have been checked with Ms. Savell, Captain Kendra, or First Mate Emilee!!! </p>
