Introduce Yourself in a Poem

<p>Identity Poem. Due:______</p><p>How do you identify yourself? Students can identify themselves by the activities they participate in, the people they hang around with, the organizations they belong to, their hobbies, their family, their religion, their schoolwork, or other interests. </p><p>Your identity poem will be a 14 line poem that will describe your identity. Each line has a specific direction to follow for the kind of word or phrase you will write on each line.</p><p>Here is the criterion (the directions).</p><p> Each line should end on the same line. Do not let lines go to the next.  You must have a border.  ARTWORK – The artwork must be images that show your identity.  Make it colorful.  BE CREATIVE!!!</p><p>Line 1: Write the words I am...</p><p>Line 2: Write the word A (or An) followed by a noun that describes you or something important about you. End this line with a comma.</p><p>Line 3: Follow the directions for Line 2 again but choose a different noun.</p><p>Line 4: Write the word The followed by another noun which describes you or something important about you. End this line with a period or exclamation point.</p><p>Line 5: Write three adjectives that describe positive things about you. Put a comma after each word.</p><p>Line 6: Write the word I followed by a verb that tells something you like to do. End this line with a comma.</p><p>Line 7: Write the word And followed by another verb telling something you like to do. End this line with a comma.</p><p>Line 8: Follow the directions for line 7 again but choose a different verb. End this line with a period or exclamation point.</p><p>Line 9: Name something you care about. End the line with the words “is (or are) important to me.” Don’t forget the period.</p><p>Line 10: Write the words “I want to” followed by something you want to accomplish. End the line with a semicolon.</p><p>Line 11: Write the words “I hope to” followed by something you hope to be able to do. End this line with a semicolon.</p><p>Line 12: Write the words “I know I can “ followed by something you will one day achieve. End this line with a period or an exclamation point.</p><p>Line 13: Write three present participles describing yourself (thinking, reading, riding and writing.) End this line with a period or an exclamation point.</p><p>Line 14: Write the words, “This is me!”</p>
