The font should be Arial, size 12. The abstract should be a maximum of 250 words. If you wish to include a figure/table in the abstract, the text should be shortened to approximately 180 words and the figure/table should be text-embedded. To do this, copy your figure/table and insert it using the menu function Edit/Paste. Double click the figure/table, go to Size, and select height and width to form an area that equals 5 square inches (32 cm2) or less. Then go to Layout and select Wrapping style Tight, Horizontal alignment Right, and click on Advanced…, and under Vertical, select Absolute position 0.15 and below Line. Click OK and OK. This will embed the figure/table within the text of the abstract as is the photograph of Harvard Medical School shown here. Save the document under the last name of the first author (LastName.doc), and E-mail as an attachment to: [email protected]. Note that with the embedded figure/table in this format, it can be moved within the text and its size can be changed. Keep the body text alignment justified.</p>
