<p> Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences Application for departmental doctoral funding (for already-enrolled students)</p><p>Eligibility: Application is open to currently-enrolled PhD students in the Dept. of Hearing and Speech Sciences. (Incoming students, and students who plan to switch to the PhD program in the future but are currently MA or AuD students are not eligible for this funding.) Students can apply for multiple years of funding, but this requires re- applying. If applying for multiple years of funding, these years need not be sequential.</p><p>Requirements: CV Academic records (transcript) – unofficial copy is fine Minimum of 1 letter of support from advisor (for dual-advising, multiple letters may be appropriate) Description of student’s funding to date, and of other funding sources to which the student is applying Research and Training Plan (see below) Completion of attached form</p><p>Research and Training Plan The student should provide 3-5 page plan which describes the program of research and training that the student intends to carry out, if funded (in addition to the attached form). This would include coursework (if applicable), lab or labs the student will be working in, other training experiences (e.g., conferences, lab rotations or visits to other labs, workshops, teaching goals, mentoring of undergraduate or HS students, etc.), and a plan for what research the student sees him or herself conducting and the importance of this research. This plan should include a timeline for completion of these goals. Moreover, the plan should also discuss research and training experiences up until the present date. We recommend that you complete this plan in conjunction with your advisor.
