<p> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MARSTON MONTGOMERY PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY 29TH JULY 2015 AT 7.30 P.M. IN THE CORONATION HALL</p><p>Present : Cllr. K Bull, Cllr. M Butler, Cllr. N Brown Cllr. T Morley – District Councillor. P.C. Bointon</p><p>1. Apologies Cllr. P. Collyer, Cllr. R Butler</p><p>2. Declaration of Interests – None 3. Minutes of the last meeting Proposed by Cllr. N Brown and seconded by Cllr. M Butler these were agreed as a true record and signed as such by Cllr.Bull – Chairman.</p><p>4. Planning Application 15/00424/FUL – Demolition of Existing farmhouse and erection of replacement dwelling at Woodhay Farm, Marston Common, Marston M ontgomery for Mr. Ed Hammond It was unanimously agreed not to support this application on the grounds that the proposed new dwelling was not on the footprint of the existing farmhouse. Cllr. Morley agreed to take the Councils concerns regarding the criteria now being applied to demolition of exisisting buildings and their replacement to the next Planning Meeting. </p><p>5. Public Participation There were no members of the public present.</p><p>MATTERS ARISING FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 14TH MAY 2015</p><p>6. Village Hall Cllr. M Butler reported that the painting of the new woodwork inside the hall and fitting of new a door at the rear of the hall was still waiting to be carried out. 7. Play Area – Weston Bank The Clerk reported that the Safety Inspection had been completed by The Play Inspection Company and the report had been received with only minor issues.</p><p>8. Potholes The Clerk had again reported the issues around the village and the majority had now been filled. Cllr. N Brown said there were still holes on Marston Common and also the the dip in the road before Woodhay Farm which still needed attention. Clerk to action.</p><p>9. Speeding of Vehicles down Barway/Marston Bank. The Clerk had written to Derbyshire County Council Highways Department and had received a reply from Mr. Mark Sloan – Senior Traffic & Safety Technician stating that the introduction of a speed limit would not necessarily have an effect on certain individuals who would still drive at excessive speeds regardless of the limit in place. Roads are monitored on a regular basis and appropriate consideration would be given if it became clear that a speed limit would be beneficial i.e. the occurrence of any injury collisions. It was agreed that there is not a lot that can be done at present regarding this problem.</p><p>MATTERS ARISING FROM THE OPEN MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 14TH MAY 2015</p><p>10. Increased traffic on Weston Bank The Clerk reported she had written to Dales Housing requesting that the house numbers be displayed on the existing sign so they would be clearly visible to any delivery vehicles as they went into Weston Bank. A reply had been received promising an investigation but as yet the clerk has not been advised of the outcome. Clerk to chase up.</p><p>11. Buses from JCB Academy travelling to the A515 The Clerk had written to express concerns regarding the speed of double decker buses carrying pupils from the Academy through to Cubley. A reply had been received from The Principal stating he would raise the matter with the bus provider to ensure all drivers are fully aware of the safety concerns along the route. FINANCIAL MATTERS</p><p>12. Payments : Play Inspection Company £75.00 Hire of Coronation Hall £20.00 Clerks Expenses – Postage & Stationary. £42.98 Proposed by Cllr. M Butler & Seconded by Cllr. K Bull</p><p>CORRESPONDENCE</p><p>13. Dalc – Smaller Authorities Transparency Code Mandatory Compliance.</p><p>14. Ashbourne & District 50+ Forum – Summer Open Forum to be held on Friday 14th August 2015 at Ashbourne Golf Club, Wyaston Road, Ashbourne 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The theme being “Health & Wellbeing”</p><p>15. Derbyshire Dales District Council – Planning Office Notification of an Appeal by Mr. J Woodhouse regarding Barn at Riggs Lane, Marston Montgomery.</p><p>The meeting closed at 8.30 p.m.</p><p>JB/31/07/15</p>
