Candidates invited to be interviewed will be reimbursed for their travel expenses per State guidelines.) The Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP) is a state-mandated program of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), providing Californians who are deaf and disabled with specialized telephone equipment and relay services through the California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) and California Relay Service (CRS), respectively. Two Committees advise the CPUC: the Telecommunications Access for the Deaf and Disabled Administrative Committee (TADDAC) and the Equipment Program Advisory Committee (EPAC). They represent the State’s changing demographics and provide a variety of perspectives from members who are Deaf, hard of hearing, speech-disabled, blind, low-vision, or mobility-disabled. These members offer information from their own perspectives as well as from the constituents they represent. The Committees meet in Oakland at the DDTP headquarters as well as hold meetings at other sites for people whose remote locations could prevent them from learning about the Program.
